Give Back–Volunteer to Tutor Under-Resourced Students

Bring Your Industry Experience to Under-Resourced Students!

As Northrop Grumman retirees, you are skilled in finding innovative solutions to propel society forward. Please join us in providing more than 20,000 students with unique, industry-based mentorship to enhance their economic and professional opportunities.

EnCorps STEM Teachers trains and supports retired STEM experts as they give back in under-resourced classrooms throughout California. The volunteer tutoring and early teaching exploration within our Fellowship allow participants to determine whether full-time math or science teaching could be an encore career. EnCorps provides high touch professional development to all Fellows, whether they remain committed as volunteers or choose to pursue a full career transition.

Serving high need communities since 2007, EnCorps addresses the pervasive and complex issues of STEM literacy, workforce development, and effective teacher preparation. EnCorps STEM Teachers represent the nation’s top STEM experts: they have been employed an average of 17 years as a STEM professional, and 83% have earned either a Masters or PhD in a STEM subject.
