Melinda will give a Medicare Overview. She will also cover changes to expect in the upcoming year (in general terms, not specific insurance companies).  We encourage you to submit questions in advance so that Melinda can tailor her talk to our TRA members’ concerns.   Melinda is an expert on Medicare, Medigap, and Advantage plans, including rules on what to do if you are moving, changing plans, etc.  We look forward to providing our members with information before the upcoming enrollment period.

Melinda Gann spent over 8 years in the medical industry, where she got to see firsthand clients’ experiences walking through medical issues, including dementia, hospice, and chronic health issues. Melinda is an expert in the areas of home health care, geriatrics, hospice, long-term care, and advanced care planning; she frequently speaks on such matters and has also worked with police departments, attorneys, and other professionals on specific cases.  She has advised families on issues of elder abuse, complicated family dynamics, and medical and legal concerns.

Melinda’s career includes creating marketing and communication strategies for organizations, including PBS, Salvation Army, and Queen Mary.   Giving back is a big part of Melinda’s life purpose and has helped to raise funds and awareness for many causes through Assemblyman David Hadley’s Senior Advisory Committee, ALS – Walk to Defeat ALS Committee, California State University Fullerton Alumni Mentorship Program, Las Vecinas Women’s Club, Peninsula Seniors Board of Directors, Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs Academy, and Torrance Chamber of Commerce.

Melinda holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. In her spare time, Melinda spends time with her family and friends, traveling and attending events. Music and dance are a huge part of Melinda’s life. She has been taking dance classes since she could walk.

Melinda resides in the South Bay with her dog Frankie, who is Hoffman Insurance Resources’ Mascot. “Leave a Positive Footprint Wherever You Go” is Melinda’s mantra.
