Thanks to our members’ inputs we have chosen the Toyota USA Auto Museum i
n Torrance to hold our Summer Reunion. This may be your last chance to tour the museum because it will relocate to Texas at the end of the year. As part of our event we will have access to the automobile and museum displays that record the history of Toyota (originally Toyoda) in the United States. The engineers and car buffs should have fun. There will be time to chat and catch up with friends.
We will have a catered lunch buffet from Snax Superburger Catering. It will include entrées of carved baron of beef, BBQ ribs, and chicken breast together with vegetable choices of green beans with bacon, and glazed carrots. Lunch includes a mixed green salad, fresh cut vegetable appetizer trays, and dinner rolls with butter. Iced tea and coffee are included.
The Summer Reunion will be Tuesday, July 18th, from 11:00 to 2:00, at the Toyota USA Automotive Museum, 19600 Van Ness Ave, Torrance, CA 90501.
Come reunite with your friends, tour the museum, and enjoy a great meal, all for just $30 per person. Guests are welcome – no limit.
Our keynote speaker will be Gabe Watson, who until March of this year was Vice President for geospatial intelligence, sensing & science. That organization is responsible for the development of advanced, innovative and affordable space sensor systems to meet the needs of the nation’s intelligence, defense weather, earth sensing and space science communities. Gabe joined the company in 1981 as a systems engineer and has been responsible for the development of advanced space systems, including serving as the Program Manager for the Advanced EHF military communications satellite and the Space Tracking and Surveillance System. Gabe also served as the Vice President of Engineering for Space Systems.
Gabe recently joined the ranks of the retired, so he can explain to us what’s happening at NG Aerospace Sector, and we can school him on the fine art of retirement.
