Just wanted to give a shout out regarding the NG coverage of Part D ‘Catastrophic’ drug expenses. If you are unfortunate enough to blow through the ‘donut hole’, you enter the Part D ‘Catastrophic’ segment. If you take one two branded drugs on a daily basis, you probably will reach ‘Catastrophic’.

Although the cost of medications are much lower, costs of branded medicines are still significant. When NG eliminated their retiree Health Plans, they provided for reimbursement for up to $5,000 for drug expenses at the Catastrophic level. Unfortunately, the people that deal with this at T-W are different and you need to separately enroll for Catastrophic coverage and fax in bills monthly.
