2019 TRA Summer Reunion

Time flies! It is already time to make your reservations for our Summer Reunion. We are again going to try a new place based on the suggestions of our members. We plan to hold our 2019 TRA Summer Reunion at the Marmalade Cafe in El Segundo.

For lunch we will have a choice of:

• Chinese Chicken Salad, with umami soy roasted chicken thinly sliced and tossed with nappa cabbage, sugar snap peas, edamame, scallions, oranges, roasted cashews, crispy rice noodles, cilantro and sesame ginger vinaigrette
• The Half Pound Cafe Burger on a brioche bun, with lettuce and tomato, cheddar cheese, red onion on request, served with french fries
• Salmon and Asparagus Farfalle pasta with pieces of tender Atlantic salmon, asparagus tips and sweet onions in lemon Chardonnay cream and Parmesan cheese.

We will be located on the Marmalade Cafe private patio with room to mingle and enjoy a summer lunch. A non-alcoholic beverage is included in the price. The Cafe has a no-host bar if you would like beer, wine, or a cocktail with your meal. Back by popular demand, free samples of premier Kauai-grown chocolate will be provided for event attendees by Dave Vandervoet, cacao and vanilla grower and founding member of the Hawaii Chocolate and Cacao Association.

Keynote Speaker: John Daegele, Sector Vice President and General Manager of Space Systems for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems

John Daegele has accepted our invitation for his office to provide an update on the company.
Prior to his current assignment, John was vice president and program director of Advanced Mission Programs and vice president of Mission 1 for Space Systems.  Before that, John was vice president of Aerospace Engineering for the Space Systems Division, and vice president of System Engineering, Integration and Test for Aerospace Systems and the former Space Technology sector, responsible for system engineering, integration, test and launch, and ground systems.

Reservations for this year’s event are sold out. If you want to participate, our next retiree party is the Holiday Party in December.
