NASA has been going through an assessment of their programs to determine which programs will continue during the current Covid-19 lock-down. Integration of the James Webb Space Telescope in the Space Park M8 High Bay has been suspended. That decision will delay the planned launch, which had been scheduled for early 2021.
The TRA had been planning a series of tours similar to those conducted in 2019. One tour would have been prior to a series of environmental tests originally planned for later this summer, and a second tour would have been timed for the full system deployment test that occurs after the Observatory environmental test.
As it is, all planning for tours, of course, are on hold until the work resumes. Even then, we would have to assess whether our members, all in a high risk group, should be exposed to the risks associated with large group events.
