The Air Force’s 26-month contract aims to improve GPS resiliency and affordability
2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a 26-month study contract based on the company’s innovative proposal for the next-generation Global Positioning System (GPS) III program. This award follows the Air Force’s request for proposals seeking potential updates to the GPS system, which has been delivering precise global position, navigation and timing services worldwide for more than two decades.
